Chilean marrano martyr. He worked as a physician in Chile, where he converted to Judaism, circumcised himself, and adopted the name Eli Nazareno. He was arrested by the Inquisition, but continued to practise Jewish rites even in prison. He was burned at an auto-da-fe in Lima.
